  • Want less caffeine from cold brew? Dilute your concentrate 2:1 or 3:1 with water instead of 1:1. Same smooth flavor, less jolt.
  • Switching to decaf? Do it on the hot side first. Decaf cold brew still tends to taste flatter than decaf drip, since cold extraction already mutes flavor compounds. Pulling caffeine out on top of that leaves less character behind.
